The Lab at OPM’s Summer Design School

  • No dates currently scheduled

We build design thinking, problem solving and innovation skills through our Summer Design School. This week-long event experiments with new ways of teaching, learning and applying human-centered design in the public sector. Through a mix of structured and unstructured offerings, participants will look at challenges through a series of different frames over the course of the week, helping them to understand why, when and how to apply design to their public sector work.

How You Will Benefit

Alumni will be exposed to the broader spectrum of design and how it can be applied to the public sector. Participants will leave the event with new ways of approaching challenges through design and understand how to apply particular design strategies to challenges.

Who Should Attend

Any government employee can join us for the Summer Design School. No prior experience in human-centered design is required. The event will benefit from the participation of a cross-sector of individuals, so those with interest in learning more about human-centered design in the public sector are encouraged to sign-up, no matter their background.
