The Agency Policy 101 course is intended to provide supervisors with an overview of the environmental factors affecting agency policy, types of agency policy, the agency policy cycle, and the processes associated with it. Participants learn what they need to know to write, analyze, implement, report, and evaluate agency policy.

The course begins with a required self-paced online portion (open for four weeks) that introduces the agency policy environment, the agency policy cycle, best practices in policy processes and procedures, and an introduction of the simulation group activity.
