Overview

Even as the nature of work itself is changing, the Federal workforce in the 21st Century is also changing as it becomes more multi-sector, multicultural, intergenerational, intergovernmental, international, and virtual.

Federal Senior Executives lead America's workforce, continuously inspiring, engaging, and aligning employee to ensure mission success in the face of numerous obstacles and even emerging opportunities.

When talent management is a strategic priority, senior leaders and executive leadership teams are spending significant time building results-oriented cultures of engagement, accountability, and high performance. Employees feel connected to the agency mission, are empowered to take control of their own careers, and have a laser focus on customer service and execution. At the same time, senior leaders are shaping human capital systems so that the agency is attracting, developing and retaining world-class talent to meet agency priorities efficiently and effectively.

Inspiring and Engaging a High-Performing 21st Century Workforce is a Forum designed to help new Federal Senior Executives lead their most critical resource — people — with an enterprise mindset and toolkit suited to leveraging talent strategies in service to the American people.
