National security policy cannot be implemented in a vacuum. This course offers a high-level overview of the factors that affect security and economic impacts here and abroad.

The rapidly changing nature of modern warfare and strategic concepts on which national security policy is based; the resources available for national security; the necessity of military preparedness and the role of intelligence in national security; and a theater-by-theater assessment of the status of world conflicts will be explored.
